First stop Sweden

A few months back we came across cheap flights in Europe. For only £70 both of us could fly return to city destinations. We thought, why not. And so here we are starting the summer adventures and heading to Gothenburg Sweden

It may be a bit of a whirlwind and it may not exactly be a summer break (current temperatures at 9degrees...eek) however it is a trip to a new place with new people and amazing design.

The hardest part though is fitting everything in a tiny on board suitcase with liquids restrictions... I hate liquid restrictions!!

Weekday blues

Another weekend down, it's almost May and the years almost over!

I know it's a little bit over dramatic but every time Friday arrives I'm excited, ready for the weekend but then too quickly Monday morning comes.

I do actually enjoy working but I much prefer my weekends.
This weekend you wont believe it, I slept in until 12 midday! That is something I haven't done in years. Do you think its old age?! Hopefully not....
I also found the most amazing vintage skirt, ate loads at Borough market and spent my Friday night at an underground bar, which I  shall visit again.

How was your weekend? Ready for hump day?

Viva La France

The travels have begun and to start of the season we headed to France. The Easter 4 day weekend was the perfect opportunity to spend time together and road trip to the Champagne region.
I may have come back a kilo (or two!) heavier but lots of laughs, French friends and new names were created.

Enjoy - merci beaucoup!

The roadtrip had to start with Mc Donalds - where instant win Monopoly kept us entertained

First stop - Dover. Overnight stay close to the Euro tunnel

 English Breakfast....

 Dover castle

'I want to go to the seaside...'

 Dover white cliffs

Finally entering the tunnel (after 3hour wait)

 Moet & Chandon tour

 English is 'spocken' (lol)

 Yep - that's red wine!

Love!

Rheims Cathedral

 Last stop

 Easter dinner

and back to breakfast again...

Where have I been?

Whoa - where have I been? It has been a week since I posted and what a busy week it was.

Another Aussie traveller was here, taking in the sights and shopping up a storm. She might have been stopped briefly from a London bug but she'll be back, geared up and ready for French Champagne.... oh did I mention we are off to France this weekend...
