NYE 'Part Deux'

...And then it was on to celebrating NYE London time. And the way this was going to happen was a house party in London Bridge - the prefect venue and close to the city for the fireworks display.
I always said to myself that my first Christmas and NY in London would actually be spent in London (I will have other chances to celebrate in other countries).
So we dressed up, drink and crisps (chips!) in hand and headed down towards the river to bring in the NY.
I hope everyone enjoyed their NYE - I know we did!

I blame the festive season

What has been going on? I have been very slack in posting recently but I do blame the festive season and all the crazy, wonderful things I have ben doing.
The season started off with Angela's Christmas Party and ended with our work Christmas party (which was last night).
Both nights lived up to their expectations proving the connection we have as friends strong and extremely funny!
So, as the New Year approaches I look forward to many more wonderful times celebrating, laughing, dancing and sharing together!

Here are a few pics for your light entertainment...

Halloween

My thoughts have turned to Halloween, a very new and exciting holiday for me to celebrate.

Halloween is very rarely celebrated in Australia and the fact that most Brits get into the party spirit has made me become spooking-ly curious to how it all started.

Halloween is said to have originated from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward of roaming ghosts. Then in the 8th Century Pope Gregory III designated November 1st as a day to honor Saints and Martyrs, thus the evening before be All Hollows Eve - now known as Halloween.

Shopping tonight in Waitrose I was inspired by all the decorations and sweets on offer for any trick or treating or Halloween parties...and yes I brought some bunting and have now been furiously searching for any decorations I can find to fill my house ready for my Halloween gathering!

Next all I have to think about is my costume. Thoughts??
