one trip, a few words and I'm ready to discover what's in store for my life... My name is Karina and I am making the BIG life changing move overseas to the UK. It’s time for me to make the move and discover what could be awaiting me.

I'm back

I had an amazing time in Sydney over the past two weeks, catching up with friends and family and sussing out what has been going on for the past year.
So while I didn't get to post very much I did update instagram (follow me @karina_han) with photos along the way and documented a lot of what was going on.
Sydney is an amazing place although it rained almost everyday it was nice to be able to walk around without a jacket, sleep with no socks on and sweat the minute you walk out the door due to the humidity. Lots of catch up's were shared, our engagement party was had and lots of mum's food was eaten.
- That's the Sydney I know and love!

When I was away it also came up to my 1 year since I have been blogging. It was actually a very exciting moment to realise that I have been jumping on here and writing to you, my favourite people, and sharing my life and my thoughts.
The reason I write on here is for you and because I love to let out exactly what I think about daily. Without you...there would be no blog!

So for the next few weeks I am ready to take on some new and exciting challenges. One being a new job, another is all about getting this blog out there and more reactive - so more stories, more fashion, more me and more photos which will hopefully lead into a little business type hobby venture.

To make all this successful I need your help! On the blog on the right hand side tool bar there are lots of likes and sections to follow - click those buttons! Jumping on and clicking on those sections ensures you get to read all my posts.
I'm excited to share with you more and more every day and would love to hear any comments, good or bad, as I want to make this a fun place to jump onto everyday!

Oh, and don't forget to pass on this blog to your many friends and friends of friends...thanks for your help x

Sydney on my mind

I have had Sydney on my mind recently and I think it could be the fact that I will be arriving home in 1 week. It could also be the fact that people keep posting amazing pictures of the city skyline or of them  laying out on the beach, which only tantalise me more and encourages my mind to loose focus on the now!

But what brings me back to Sydney for 2 weeks is the need to squeeze my nephews, hug all my friends and family, soak up some sun, have a relaxing time and celebrate our engagement!

Watch out Sydney!

How could you not love this city!

NYE 'Part Un'

I wanted to start NYE off with a bang, or is that a boom? Either way I wanted to celebrate Sydney time and London time.
So why not have the best of both worlds and if you have friends that want to share that with you also, then it is a must!

I put on my first NYE outfit and headed off to Marylebone for brunch and met with Erin and Lou where we saluted in NY - Sydney time!
Although we all couldn't  be there with our family and friends to say Happy New Year it was nice for us to come together and pretend like we were!

NYE outfit - daytime

Was a beautiful day in Marylebone

Cheers Sydney!

A new year of resolutions

(source : kimsthoughts.com)

It sometimes freaks me out when I think about how Sydney will be celebrating the New Year 11 hours before I will be. The fact that they will already be in 2012 and here in London we will only be in 2011! It makes me feel as if we are in some sort of twilight zone and the possibilities that different people are in different time zones is amazing.
Then I just come to the realisation that the reason this happens is because the earth revolves around the sun and we all can't be in the one spot at the same time! Do you realise this is how my brain thinks?!

New Years Resolution 1 - Start thinking smarter!

So, as the New Year approaches its inevitable that we start to think about what resolutions we would like to have for the coming year. Normally they are always about weight, life, exercise and yes mine will probably also be those but I want my bigger focus to be others and leave those as smaller points.

Let's start the list -

New Year Resolution 1 -  Follow my travel plan and discover the world, Utilise every weekend possible (money pending!) Take photos, eat local cuisine, travel light (so hard to do!) pick up new customs and take home a piece of the place visited.

New Year Resolution 2 - Soak up all aspects in my new job - develop myself, build relationships and skills and ultimately grow within the business.

New Year Resolution 3 - Start focusing on my own personal business dreams following alongside my career. Always make time to keep writing & posting, drawing & developing, buying & creating. A passion should become a career.

New Year Resolution 4 - Ring home more often! I have become very slack with this. I blame it on the time zone difference (see it really controls my life!).

New Year Resolution 5 - Share my day and discuss what happened in more detail with my partner. Sometimes little things like this are taken for granted and I will make sure that doesn't happen this year!

I probably could continue but really I think its nice to focus on a few. Other things should just be part of your everyday life.
Now that I have written my 5 resolutions on this blog, you are all witnesses and have the right to question me to see if I am keeping up with them!
I hope that I can share with you soon bits and pieces and tick off my list in record time!

So...

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!
Spend the night with people you love and celebrate the year ahead together!
xx Karina
