one trip, a few words and I'm ready to discover what's in store for my life... My name is Karina and I am making the BIG life changing move overseas to the UK. It’s time for me to make the move and discover what could be awaiting me.

Duvet or Doona?

The weather has crisped and the duvet (doona if your Australian) coat has made it's first outing. I always said that I would never ever wear one of these puffy, parachute material belted coats. But when the cold came its feather down goodness enticed me.
One thing I have overcome since moving here is the fact that I don't care what I look like as long as I'm warm!

Hmmm maybe I can sleep in this duvet, sorry doona coat also??

The duvet coat!

Trying to style it up...

LFW - that's London Fashion Week

The fashion buzz that comes for one week during September and knocks you over with excitement has sadly come to an end. My fashion hangover has begun and slight post-depression is rising.
The past weekend I headed with a friend to Somerset House to see a show, to people watch, sip champagne and gain inspiration.

As I was not privileged enough to be able to see all the shows, to be still involved I streamed a few catwalk shows and studied the designers pictures filtering my favourites and being in awe and unfortunately judging the rest.
I recommend the following to all fashion lovers as they were all by far my favourite and as a great critic does I named my reasons why.
I thoroughly enjoyed Erdem's mix of floral print on print and vintage vibe, Christopher Kane's metallic goodness, Burberry's cropped trenches and pom pom hats, Mary Katrantzou's sharp shapes and playfulness with vivid colour/ and print and ahhh my man Matthew Williamson, whose feminine pieces delighted my eyes and I think always will!
So here's to fashion week and looking forward to February...

who would think

Who would think that working would take up so much time! Well it does and ultimately takes my time away from doing things that I can blog about! But all in all it is going well, have been buying uniform, helping people with 'the Duchess dress' and partaking in two equally massive nights out making me feel 18 again but then reminding me that I am not.
Looking forward to the next month filled with visitors from home, getting ready to move to a permanent home and hopefully more drinking sessions.

"you are fabulous and you are coming to London"

So I think I have an unhealthy connection with my clothing.
The time has come to organise my wardrobe and it's very sad. Anybody that knows me knows I get attached to my clothes - you name an occasion and I can remember what I wore. Slightly weird or slightly obsessive. Which is it?
So the other weird thing is that I've started talking to my clothes....softly to them I whisper,

"you are fabulous and you are coming to London"

and the mess begins

you have to make mess to become organised

now this is organised!
the London side of the wardrobe

the non-London side of the wardrobe
...slightly uneven

now cull #2 begins.... to be continued
